What should I pack when moving to Phan Thiet?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Phan Thiet to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Phan Thiet, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing that is appropriate for the hot and humid climate. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Bring a mosquito net and insect repellent to protect yourself from mosquitoes. Pack a first aid kit with basic medical supplies. Bring a few items that will help you adjust to the local culture, such as a phrasebook and a guidebook. Finally, don't forget to bring any important documents, such as your passport and visa," remarked another expat in Phan Thiet, Vietnam.

"Everything can be bought here so there is no need to take anything with you; unless quality clothes and shoes. I arrived 10 years ago with 1 suitcase of clothes and 5 kg chocolate," said a member in Phan Thiet, Vietnam.
