What should I pack when moving to The Cayes?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in The Cayes to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to The Cayes, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the tropical climate. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. Sunscreen and a hat are also essential for protecting yourself from the sun. Additionally, you should bring insect repellent to ward off mosquitoes and other bugs. Toiletries, medications, and any other personal items you may need should also be packed. Finally, don't forget to bring a camera to capture all the amazing sights and experiences you will have in The Cayes," remarked another expat in The Cayes, Belize.
