What should I pack when moving to Constanza?

Answer this Question

We asked people living in Constanza to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Constanza, Dominican Republic, make sure to pack your essential documents, such as your passport, visa, birth certificate, and any other identification or legal paperwork. Bring enough clothing for the tropical climate, including lightweight and breathable fabrics, as well as rain gear and a light jacket for cooler evenings. Don't forget comfortable shoes, sandals, and swimwear for enjoying the beautiful beaches. Pack any necessary medications, a basic first aid kit, and personal hygiene items, as well as a supply of sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring a reusable water bottle, a travel adapter for your electronics, and a Spanish-English dictionary or phrasebook to help with communication. Consider packing a few items for entertainment, such as books, a camera, or a portable music player, as well as any necessary chargers and cables. Finally, bring some mementos from home, like photos or small keepsakes, to help make your new living space feel more familiar and comfortable," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Constanza, the Dominican Republic.
