"When moving to Santa Lucia, you should pack lightweight and breathable clothing due to the tropical climate. Include items like shorts, t-shirts, and sandals, but also pack a few pairs of long pants and long-sleeved shirts for cooler evenings or more formal occasions. Don't forget a good quality rain jacket or umbrella, as Honduras experiences a rainy season. Pack a sturdy pair of walking shoes or hiking boots if you plan on exploring the local terrain. Also, include a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun, along with plenty of high-SPF sunscreen and insect repellent. Bring any prescription medications you need, along with a basic first aid kit. It's also a good idea to pack a water purifier or water purification tablets, as the tap water in Honduras is not always safe to drink. If you're planning on cooking, consider packing some of your favorite spices or hard-to-find ingredients. Also, bring a supply of any preferred toiletries or personal care items, as they may be difficult to find in local stores. Pack important documents like your passport, driver's license, and medical records. Also, bring copies of these documents, and keep them separate from the originals. Don't forget your electronics, like your phone, laptop, and chargers. An international power adapter might also be necessary.
