What should I pack when moving to Pedasi?
We asked people living in Pedasi to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Pedasi, you should pack lightweight clothing due to the tropical climate, including shorts, t-shirts, and swimwear. Don't forget to pack a rain jacket or umbrella for the rainy season. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, as well as sandals or flip-flops for the beach. Pack your essential toiletries, but remember that most items can be purchased locally. If you have specific brands you prefer, it might be a good idea to bring them along. Bring your prescription medications and a copy of your prescriptions, as well as any over-the-counter medications you regularly use. Pack your important documents, such as your passport, driver's license, and any necessary visas or permits. It's also a good idea to bring copies of these documents. If you plan on cooking, you might want to bring some of your favorite spices or condiments that may not be available locally. Don't forget your electronics, such as your phone, laptop, and chargers. An adapter may be necessary as Panama uses type A and B plugs. Pack some books or other forms of entertainment for your downtime, although remember that Pedasi has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities. Lastly, bring some personal items that will make your new place feel like home, such as photos or small mementos," commented one expat who made the move to Pedasi, Panama.
