What should I pack when moving to Santa Fe?
We asked people living in Santa Fe to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Santa Fe, you should pack lightweight and breathable clothing due to the tropical climate. Include items such as shorts, t-shirts, and sandals. However, also pack a few warmer items like a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings or air-conditioned environments. Don't forget to pack a good quality sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. A reusable water bottle is also essential to stay hydrated. Pack your necessary toiletries, but remember that most items can be purchased locally. If you have specific brands you prefer, it might be a good idea to bring them along. Bring any prescription medications you need, along with a copy of your prescription. It's also wise to pack a basic first aid kit with band-aids, antiseptic wipes, and over-the-counter pain relievers. Pack your important documents such as your passport, driver's license, and any necessary visas or work permits. It's also a good idea to have copies of these documents. If you plan on working or studying, bring any necessary supplies like a laptop, notebooks, and pens. Pack a Spanish-English dictionary or phrasebook, or have a translation app ready on your phone, as not everyone in Panama speaks English. Lastly, don't forget to pack items that will help you feel at home, like photos of loved ones, favorite books, or comfort foods that might be hard to find in Panama," remarked another expat in Santa Fe, Panama.
