What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Zurich?

Answer this Question

We asked expats what a typical home or apartment in Zurich is like. They answered...

"A typical expat home or apartment in Zurich will be modern, spacious and comfortable, with a high level of amenities. Generally, these apartments and homes feature a mix of contemporary decor and furnishing and classic design and living elements. There is usually a generous amount of space along with plenty of natural light, high ceilings and often access to a balcony. Common amenities and facilities include a fully-equipped kitchen, multiple bathrooms with modern and stylish fixtures, large closets and sometimes a separate laundry room. Many expat apartments also offer access to a shared pool, a gym and a range of concierge services. Parking, or at least a parking permit, is also often available," said another expat in Zurich, Switzerland.

"Share farm house. And no, I don't think this is normal, but it suited me very well. I think most expats would prefer the city. It was a share farm house with 2 blokes. However, take on board that public transport is very reliable and comfortable in Switzerland. Much better than my own country," wrote a member who made the move to Zurich, Switzerland.
