What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Leon?

Answer this Question

We asked expats what a typical home or apartment in Leon is like. They answered...

"Expat homes or apartments in Leon tend to be modern and well-appointed, with spacious living areas, high ceilings, and plenty of light. Many benefit from views of the beautiful colonial city or surrounding countryside, and typically come equipped with amenities like air conditioning, private terraces, and well-equipped kitchens. Apartments in Leon tend to be of a higher standard than many other parts of Nicaragua, yet remain relatively affordable and a great value for money," wrote a member who made the move to Leon, Nicaragua.

"I currently live in an apartment within a community. It's a one bedroom with hot water, washer-dryer and air conditioning, which is very unusual for Leon. This is another reason why I chose this neighborhood, the houses have more amenities. Next year I plan to move to a small home in the community because I miss having a yard and patio. ExPats here live in a variety of areas in the city, there is no one spot heavily populated by ExPats, in fact, Leon itself is not heavily populated by ExPats, which is why I chose it," explained one expat living in Leon, Nicaragua.
