What is a typical expat home or apartment like in Santa Lucia?
We asked expats what a typical home or apartment in Santa Lucia is like. They answered...
"A typical expat home or apartment in Santa Lucia, is often located in a secure, gated community or a well-guarded building. These homes are usually spacious, with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a large living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. They often come furnished, with modern appliances and amenities such as air conditioning, a washing machine, and sometimes even a dishwasher. Many homes also have a patio or balcony, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains or cityscape. Some properties may also include a small garden area or access to a communal pool. The architecture and design of these homes often blend traditional Honduran styles with modern, western influences. Despite being in a foreign country, these homes are designed to offer all the comforts and conveniences that expats are accustomed to in their home countries," wrote a member who made the move to Santa Lucia, Honduras.
