For a one-bedroom apartment in the city center, the monthly rent can be around 1,200 to 1,500 Swiss Francs. If the same apartment is located outside the city center, the rent can drop to approximately 1,000 to 1,300 Swiss Francs. For larger apartments or houses, the cost can significantly increase. It's also important to note that buying property in Bern can be quite expensive, with the price per square meter in the city center being around 10,000 Swiss Francs," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Bern, Switzerland.
