Generally, the cost of housing in Ayutthaya is relatively affordable, with rental prices for apartments and houses ranging from low to mid-range when compared to other cities in Thailand. For instance, a one-bedroom apartment in the city center may cost around $200 to $300 per month, while a three-bedroom house outside the city center could be rented for approximately $400 to $600 per month. The prices for purchasing properties are also reasonable, with an average cost of around $1,000 to $1,500 per square meter for an apartment in the city center," commented one expat who made the move to Ayutthaya, Thailand.
