As of recent data, the average price for an apartment in the city center may range from moderate to high, while a similar property outside the city center may cost significantly less. For houses, the prices can be much higher, especially for larger properties or those in desirable locations. It's also important to note that these are purchase prices, and rental costs can be significantly lower," remarked another expat in Porto, Portugal.
"Housing cost is less than half of what we were paying in Denver, Colorado. Depending on the size of place you need and location, $700-1200/month can be average. Porto is more affordable than Lisbon and Vila Nova de Gaia, which is a 10 minute drive from Porto, across the river can be several hundred dollars cheaper than Porto.
