The cost of living is relatively low compared to many Western countries. Ecuador has a diverse climate, from coastal regions to the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest. Healthcare in Ecuador is generally good in urban areas, but can be lacking in rural areas. It's also important to note that Ecuador is located on the Ring of Fire, so earthquakes and volcanic activity are common. In both Puerto Rico and Ecuador, expats should familiarize themselves with local customs and traditions to integrate more easily into the local culture.
