Expats should also be prepared for the tropical climate, which can be hot and humid, with a rainy season from October to April. It is essential to stay hydrated and protect oneself from the sun and mosquitoes. Healthcare facilities in Bali may not be up to the standards of Western countries, so expats should ensure they have comprehensive health insurance and consider getting vaccinations before moving. The official language in Bali is Indonesian, but Balinese and English are also widely spoken. Expats should make an effort to learn some basic Indonesian phrases to help with daily interactions.
