Thai is the official language, and while some locals speak English, it's beneficial to learn some basic Thai phrases. The culture in Thailand is deeply rooted in Buddhism, and it's important to respect local customs and traditions. Thailand has a retirement visa, also known as a Non-Immigrant Long Stay visa, available for foreigners aged 50 and above. This visa requires proof of financial stability, either through a monthly income or a deposit in a Thai bank account.
