Where should I setup a bank account in Coral Coast?
We asked expats in Coral Coast what banks they use and there advice about banking. They advised...
"Expats considering retirement in Coral Coast should be aware of several important factors. Firstly, the cost of living in Fiji is relatively low compared to many Western countries, but imported goods can be expensive. Healthcare facilities in Fiji are adequate for routine problems, but serious medical conditions may require evacuation to Australia or New Zealand. Expats should also be aware that while English is one of the official languages, the local dialects of Fijian and Hindi are also widely spoken. The climate in Fiji is tropical with a warm and wet season from November to April and a cooler, drier season from May to October. Fiji has a relaxed, laid-back lifestyle which many retirees find appealing. However, it's important to note that the pace of life is slower than in many Western countries, which can take some getting used to. Property ownership can be complex in Fiji, with land generally owned communally by indigenous Fijian clans. It's crucial to seek legal advice before purchasing property. Finally, while Fiji is generally a safe country, petty crime can be an issue, particularly in urban areas. It's advisable to take standard precautions to protect your personal safety and belongings," wrote a member who made the move to Coral Coast, Fiji.
