However, it's also a remote island, which means that certain amenities and services common in larger cities may not be available. The Philippines has a retirement visa program that allows foreigners to live in the country indefinitely, but there are certain financial requirements to meet. It's also important to note that foreign retirees cannot own land in the Philippines, but they can own condominium units or townhouses.
