"Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, offers a range of healthcare services to its residents and visitors. The city is home to several public and private hospitals, clinics, and health centers that provide various medical services, including general medicine, surgery, maternity care, and emergency services. Some of the well-known hospitals in the city are St. Paul's Hospital, Black Lion Hospital, and Yekatit 12 Hospital. In addition to hospitals, there are numerous smaller clinics and health centers that cater to the primary healthcare needs of the population. These facilities offer services such as vaccinations, family planning, and treatment for common illnesses and injuries. Pharmacies are also widely available throughout the city, providing access to prescription and over-the-counter medications. Despite the availability of healthcare services in Addis Ababa, the quality of care can vary significantly between facilities. Public hospitals often face challenges such as overcrowding, limited resources, and outdated equipment, which can impact the level of care provided. On the other hand, private hospitals and clinics generally offer better quality services, but at a higher cost, which may not be affordable for all residents. In recent years, the Ethiopian government has been working to improve the healthcare system in Addis Ababa and across the country. Efforts have been made to increase access to healthcare services, train more healthcare professionals, and upgrade medical facilities and equipment.
