Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Port of Spain if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, there are a good number of medical specialists in Port of Spain. The city has several hospitals and clinics that offer specialized medical care, such as the Port of Spain General Hospital, St. Clair Medical Centre, and Westshore Medical Private Hospital. These facilities provide a range of services, including cardiology, oncology, neurology, and orthopedics, among others. However, for highly specialized medical care that may not be available locally, some patients may choose to travel to other countries, such as the United States, to access advanced treatments and procedures," remarked another expat who made the move to Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
