Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Yangon if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, there are a good number of medical specialists in Yangon. People in need of highly specialized medical care often visit well-established hospitals and clinics in the city, such as Pun Hlaing Siloam Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and Yangon General Hospital. These facilities offer a range of specialized services, including cardiology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics, among others. However, for certain complex medical conditions, some patients may choose to travel abroad to countries like Thailand, Singapore, or India, where they can access more advanced healthcare facilities and internationally recognized specialists," said another in Yangon, Myanmar.
