Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Auckland if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"Yes, there are a good number of medical specialists in Auckland. People in Auckland have access to a wide range of medical specialists, including general practitioners, specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery. For highly specialized medical care, people in Auckland can go to one of the many hospitals in the city, such as Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children's Hospital, or Waitakere Hospital. These hospitals offer a range of specialist services, including cardiology, neurology, oncology, and orthopaedics," remarked another expat who made the move to Auckland, New Zealand.
