Are healthcare and health insurance expensive in Suwon?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Suwon if healthcare and health insurance are expensive in Suwon, they wrote...

"Healthcare and health insurance in Suwon, can be considered relatively affordable compared to many other countries. This is mainly due to the country's National Health Insurance (NHI) system, which covers all citizens and provides access to a wide range of medical services at reasonable costs. The NHI system is funded through contributions from both employers and employees, as well as government subsidies. As a result, residents in Suwon can expect to pay lower out-of-pocket expenses for healthcare services and health insurance premiums. However, the cost of private health insurance and certain specialized treatments may still be expensive for some individuals," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Suwon, Korea.
