Hospitals and clinics are well-equipped and staffed with trained medical professionals. However, there may be long waiting times due to the high demand for public healthcare services. Many expatriates and wealthier Thais often opt for private healthcare, which offers shorter waiting times and often a higher standard of care, but at a higher cost. It's also worth noting that not all staff in public hospitals may speak English, so there could be a language barrier.
