As a foreigner living in Pattaya, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Pattaya if they have access to public healthcare in Pattaya. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Pattaya, you will have access to public healthcare, but it may not be as comprehensive as the healthcare available to Thai citizens. Public hospitals in Pattaya are generally affordable, but they can be crowded and may have longer waiting times. The quality of care can vary, with some public hospitals offering modern facilities and well-trained staff, while others may be more basic. It is important to note that public healthcare in Thailand may not cover all treatments and medications, so it is recommended to have private health insurance to ensure access to a wider range of services and higher quality care in private hospitals," remarked another expat in Pattaya, Thailand.
