As a foreigner living in Hua Hin, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Hua Hin if they have access to public healthcare in Hua Hin. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Hua Hin, you will have access to public healthcare, but it is important to note that the quality and availability of services may vary compared to what you are used to in your home country. Public hospitals in Thailand are generally affordable, but they can be crowded, and waiting times may be long. Additionally, the language barrier could be a challenge, as not all staff may speak English fluently. Many expats and foreigners choose to use private hospitals or clinics, which offer a higher standard of care and more English-speaking staff, but at a higher cost. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover any medical expenses while living in Thailand," said a member in Hua Hin, Thailand.
