As a foreigner living in Nha Trang, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Nha Trang if they have access to public healthcare in Nha Trang. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Nha Trang, you will have access to public healthcare. However, the quality of public healthcare in Vietnam may not be up to the standards you are used to in your home country. Public hospitals can be crowded, and the staff may not speak English fluently. Additionally, the facilities and equipment may not be as modern or well-maintained as those in private hospitals. Many expats and foreigners living in Vietnam choose to use private healthcare facilities or travel to larger cities like Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi for more specialized treatments. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover the costs of private healthcare or medical evacuation if necessary," explained one expat living in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
