As a foreigner living in Yerevan, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?
We asked expats in Yerevan if they have access to public healthcare in Yerevan. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...
"As a foreigner living in Yerevan, you will have access to public healthcare, but the quality and availability of services may not be up to the standards you are used to in your home country. Public healthcare facilities in Armenia are generally underfunded and understaffed, which can lead to long waiting times and limited access to specialized care. Additionally, the quality of care and medical equipment may be lower than in private healthcare facilities. Many foreigners living in Yerevan choose to use private healthcare services or travel to neighboring countries for more advanced medical treatments. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover the costs of private healthcare or medical evacuation if necessary," remarked another expat in Yerevan, Armenia.
