"As a foreigner living in Jakarta, you will have access to public healthcare, but the quality and availability of services may vary. Public healthcare facilities in Jakarta are often overcrowded and may not meet the standards you are accustomed to in your home country. Additionally, there might be language barriers, as not all medical staff may be fluent in English. Many expats and foreigners choose to use private healthcare facilities, which offer better quality services and English-speaking staff. It is recommended to have comprehensive health insurance to cover the costs of private healthcare or medical evacuation if necessary," commented one expat who made the move to Jakarta, Indonesia.
