As a foreigner living in Turin, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Turin if they have access to public healthcare in Turin. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, as a foreigner living in Turin, you will have access to public healthcare. The public healthcare system in Italy is generally considered to be of a high quality, with a wide range of services available. The system is funded by taxes and is free at the point of use for all citizens and legal residents. The public healthcare system in Italy is divided into two tiers, with the first tier providing basic services such as primary care, hospital care, and specialist care. The second tier provides more specialized services such as mental health care, long-term care, and home care," wrote a member who made the move to Turin, Italy.
