"As a foreigner living in Almaty, you will have access to public healthcare. However, the quality of public healthcare in Kazakhstan may not be up to the standards you are used to in your home country. Public hospitals and clinics in Almaty can be overcrowded, and the facilities may be outdated. Additionally, there may be a language barrier, as not all medical staff speak English. It is recommended that foreigners consider obtaining private health insurance and seeking treatment at private clinics and hospitals, which generally offer better quality care and English-speaking staff," wrote a member who made the move to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
