As a foreigner living in Todos Santos, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Todos Santos if they have access to public healthcare in Todos Santos. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, as a foreigner living in Todos Santos, you will have access to public healthcare. The public healthcare system in Mexico is generally of good quality, and the cost of care is relatively low. However, it is important to note that the public healthcare system in Mexico is not as comprehensive as in other countries, and it is recommended that you purchase private health insurance to supplement your public healthcare coverage. Additionally, it is important to note that the public healthcare system in Mexico is not as well-funded as in other countries, so wait times for appointments and treatments may be longer than in other countries," remarked another expat who made the move to Todos Santos, Mexico.
