As a foreigner living in Cabo San Lucas, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Cabo San Lucas if they have access to public healthcare in Cabo San Lucas. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"Yes, as a foreigner living in Cabo San Lucas, you will have access to public healthcare. The public healthcare system in Mexico is known as the Seguro Popular, and it provides access to basic medical services for all citizens and legal residents. The quality of care varies from region to region, but in general, the public healthcare system in Mexico is considered to be of good quality. The Seguro Popular also provides access to preventive care, such as vaccinations, as well as access to specialists and hospital care," said another expat in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
