If you hold a work visa valid for two years or more, or a resident visa, you will be eligible for publicly funded healthcare services. New Zealand's public healthcare system provides quality medical care, including emergency services, hospital care, and some specialist services. However, waiting times for non-urgent treatments can be long. It is recommended to have private health insurance to cover additional costs and access private healthcare services for faster treatment," remarked another expat who made the move to Auckland, New Zealand.
