As a foreigner living in Riyadh, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Riyadh if they have access to public healthcare in Riyadh. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Riyadh, you will have access to public healthcare, but it is important to note that the public healthcare system is primarily designed for Saudi nationals. Expatriates often opt for private healthcare services, which offer a higher standard of care and shorter waiting times. Public hospitals in Riyadh are generally well-equipped and staffed with qualified medical professionals, but they can be crowded and have longer waiting times compared to private facilities. It is highly recommended for foreigners to obtain comprehensive health insurance to cover the costs of private healthcare services in Riyadh," remarked another expat in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
