What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in Tamarindo about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"The healthcare system in Tamarindo has been very responsive to the pandemic. The local government has implemented strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of the community, including the mandatory wearing of masks in public spaces and the closure of non-essential businesses. The local hospital has also been providing free testing for COVID-19 and has been offering telemedicine services to those who are unable to visit the hospital in person. Additionally, the local government has been providing financial assistance to those who have been affected by the pandemic, such as those who have lost their jobs or are unable to work due to the pandemic. Overall, the local healthcare system in Tamarindo has been doing its best to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens during this difficult time," explained one expat living in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
"I've only had the testing and it was expensive but easy to get and results were a little fumbled. Overall, it worked for what I needed," said another in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
