What advice to expats in Florence have about housing?

Answer this Question

When we asked people living in Florence about the social scene there, they described it saying...

"There are fewer apartments available to rent due to locals renting mainly to tourists," said another expat in Florence, Italy.

"When looking for housing in Florence, it is important to research the area thoroughly and make sure it is safe and secure. It is also important to consider the cost of living in the area, as well as the availability of public transportation. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the local laws and regulations regarding renting and leasing. It is also recommended to visit the area in person to get a better feel for the neighborhood and to ensure that the housing is suitable for your needs. Finally, it is important to be aware of the potential for scams and to be sure to use a reputable real estate agent," wrote a member who made the move to Florence, Italy.
