Expats also advise to consider the location carefully, taking into account factors such as proximity to amenities, safety, and noise levels. They also suggest checking the availability of utilities like water, electricity, and internet in the area. It's also important to understand that while the cost of living may be lower than in many Western countries, the quality of housing can vary greatly. Therefore, it's recommended to inspect the property thoroughly and negotiate the price. Lastly, expats advise learning some Spanish as it can greatly help in dealing with landlords and understanding contracts," wrote a member who made the move to La Paz, Mexico.
