"I am very close to the many pharmacies for medicines. Also there are bi-lingual doctors' offices in many places downtown. There are several hospitals nearby within a few miles. I have heard that the quality of care is very good. But, I have not had personal experience yet, thank goodness," explained one expat living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

"Medical care in Playa del Carmen is generally very good, with many hospitals offering a wide range of services. Many modern medical facilities, including private hospitals and clinics, are available in Playa del Carmen and feature excellent equipment, knowledgeable staff and English-speaking doctors and other personnel. Playa del Carmen also has numerous pharmacies, many of which are open 24-hours. Additionally, professional ambulance services are available for medical emergencies. These ambulances offer services such as advanced first-aid procedures, defibrillation and IV treatments, providing excellent local medical care for visitors to the city," said another expat in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
