"In order to obtain a visa to enter Zug, an individual must first apply for a Schengen visa from the Swiss Embassy or Consulate in their home country. This visa will allow the individual to stay in Switzerland for up to 90 days. To apply for a Schengen visa, the individual must provide a valid passport, a completed application form, two passport-sized photographs, proof of travel insurance, and proof of sufficient funds. In order to apply for residency in Zug, Switzerland, an individual must first obtain a residence permit. This permit is issued by the cantonal migration office and is valid for a period of one year. To apply for a residence permit, the individual must provide a valid passport, a completed application form, two passport-sized photographs, proof of health insurance, proof of sufficient funds, and proof of accommodation. The individual must also provide evidence of their purpose for staying in Switzerland, such as a job offer or a study permit," remarked another expat in Switzerland.
