What are the visa & residency requirements in Pattaya?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the visa & residency requirements in Pattaya, they wrote...

"In order to visit Pattaya, visitors must obtain a visa prior to their arrival. The most common type of visa is the tourist visa, which is valid for up to 60 days. To apply for a tourist visa, applicants must submit a valid passport, a completed visa application form, two passport-sized photographs, and a fee. In order to apply for residency in Pattaya, Thailand, applicants must first obtain a non-immigrant visa. This type of visa is valid for up to one year and can be extended. To apply for a non-immigrant visa, applicants must submit a valid passport, a completed visa application form, two passport-sized photographs, proof of financial stability, and a fee. Once the visa is approved, applicants must then apply for a work permit and a residence certificate. The work permit must be obtained from the Ministry of Labour and the residence certificate must be obtained from the Immigration Bureau," remarked another expat in Pattaya, Thailand.
