The visa application must also be accompanied by a letter of invitation from a local contact in Uzbekistan. In order to obtain residency in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, applicants must submit an application form, a valid passport, and a passport-sized photograph to the Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate in their home country. The application must also be accompanied by a letter of invitation from a local contact in Uzbekistan, as well as proof of employment or other financial means of support. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be issued a residency permit, which must be renewed every year," explained one expat living in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
