What are the visa & residency requirements in Seattle?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the visa & residency requirements in Seattle, they wrote...

"In order to obtain a visa to live in Seattle, an individual must first apply for a nonimmigrant visa through the U.S. Department of State. This process requires the applicant to fill out an online application, pay the required fees, and attend an interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once the visa is approved, the individual can then travel to Seattle. In order to apply for residency in Seattle, an individual must first obtain a valid visa. Once the visa is obtained, the individual must then apply for a green card through the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This process requires the applicant to fill out an online application, pay the required fees, and attend an interview at the USCIS office. Once the green card is approved, the individual can then apply for a Social Security number and begin the process of establishing residency in Seattle," remarked another expat who made the move to Seattle, the United States.
