In order to apply for residency in Washington DC, applicants must first submit an application to the USCIS. This application must include proof of identity, proof of financial support, and a valid passport. Additionally, applicants must provide evidence of their intent to live and work in the United States, such as a job offer or proof of enrollment in a school or university. Once the application is approved, the applicant will receive a green card that allows them to live and work in the United States," explained one expat living in Washington DC, the United States.
