"To apply for a visa in Accra, applicants are required to submit a passport or travel document that is valid for at least six months. Additionally, they must provide a fully completed application form, two passport-sized photographs, proof of onward travel, a authorized referral letter from a sponsoring organization, and all relevant documentation related to the purpose of their visit. Applications must also include a fee, and processing takes around 10 days. To apply for residency in Accra, Ghana, applicants must provide an application form, copies of their passport or identity card, a letter of employment or study, criminal background check documents, financial proof of resources to cover their stay, and a medical certificate. Residency applications are processed by the Ministry of Interior or the Normalization Structures, and the process generally lasts between 30 to 90 days," explained one expat living in Accra, Ghana.
