"In order to travel to Nice, visitors from certain countries must apply for a visa prior to entering the country. The visa application process requires applicants to submit a valid passport, a form, proof of sufficient funds, and proof of a scheduled return flight. Depending on the type of visa, other documents may also be required. Once in Nice, foreign citizens may apply for residency by submitting an application to the local police station or prefecture. The application must include proof of sufficient funds, evidence of permanent housing in France, a valid passport, and any other documents related to the purpose of the stay in France. After the application is submitted, it must then be reviewed and approved by the French Minister of Foreign Affairs and may require further documentation from the applicant before approval is granted.
