In order to obtain residency in Bogor, Indonesia, applicants must first obtain a temporary residence permit. This permit is valid for up to one year and can be extended for up to three years. To apply for a temporary residence permit, applicants must submit a valid passport, a completed application form, a passport-sized photograph, proof of sufficient funds, and a letter of recommendation from an Indonesian citizen. After the temporary residence permit has been approved, applicants must then apply for a permanent residence permit. This permit is valid for up to five years and can be extended for up to ten years. To apply for a permanent residence permit, applicants must submit a valid passport, a completed application form, a passport-sized photograph, proof of sufficient funds, a letter of recommendation from an Indonesian citizen, and proof of employment or business ownership in Indonesia," commented one expat who made the move to Bogor, Indonesia.
