What are the visa & residency requirements in Queretaro?
We asked people about the visa & residency requirements in Queretaro, they wrote...
"In order to visit or live in Queretaro, non-Mexicans must obtain both a visa and residency status in Mexico. To apply for a visa, the non-Mexican individual must book an online appointment with a Mexican consulate or embassy and submit the necessary paperwork, which includes a valid passport, passport photos and proof of purpose or pending work-based endeavor in the form of a letter of invitation from a sponsor or employer in Mexico. After submitting the completed application, the passport will be stamped and the individual will receive a Temporary Residence Permit that allows the individual to remain in Mexico for a period of time. To apply for residency, the individual must then make an in-person appointment at the National Immigration Institute (INM) office in Queretaro, which can be scheduled online. At the appointment, the individual must submit evidence that the required documents have been authenticated, a valid passport and proof of financial means. The individual must also provide an apostille from the Mexican Consulate, valid copies of all documents, a Public Notary and a Medical Certificate from a local doctor. If approved, the individual will receive a CURP card (Mexican Social Security number), which they must use to pay taxes in Mexico," said a member in Queretaro, Mexico.
