What advice do you have for expats having a baby in Nepal?

Answer this Question

We asked expat moms who gave birth in Nepal about their experiences and advice they have for other moms to be. They said...

"It is important to research the medical facilities available in Nepal before having a baby. Make sure to find a doctor or midwife who is experienced in delivering babies in Nepal. It is also important to be aware of the cultural norms and expectations surrounding childbirth in Nepal. It is also a good idea to have a support system in place, such as family or friends, to help with the process. Additionally, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations surrounding childbirth in Nepal, such as the need for a birth certificate. Finally, it is important to be prepared for the cost of having a baby in Nepal, as it can be expensive," remarked another expat in Nepal.
