What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Bahrain. They wrote...
"Expats in Bahrain often find the local culture to be quite different from their own, which can be challenging to adjust to. The conservative nature of the culture can be difficult to navigate, as there are certain behaviors and dress codes that are expected to be followed. Additionally, the language barrier can be a challenge, as Arabic is the official language of Bahrain and English is not widely spoken. Finally, the hot and humid climate can be difficult to adjust to, especially for those coming from cooler climates," remarked another expat in Bahrain.
