What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Libya. They wrote...
"Expats in Libya often find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The conservative nature of the culture can be challenging for expats, as it can be difficult to adjust to the more traditional values and customs. Additionally, the language barrier can be a challenge for expats, as Arabic is the official language of Libya and English is not widely spoken. Furthermore, the lack of infrastructure and resources can be difficult for expats to navigate, as many of the services and amenities they are used to may not be available," explained one expat living in Libya.
